WelcomeTo My Page!

I'm a wife, mom, mom in law and a grandmother whose love of auctions span 38 years. As a young married couple on a budget, auctions furnished our home and are a source for the various birthday and holiday gifts. They were, and still are, a fun way to meet others who share the same passion for them as we do.

The internet has opened up a whole new world for auction lovers of all types. Imagine being able to attend a Live auction from the comfort of your home! I will be sharing my experience with both live in person and internet auctions and how I use them to source vintage items for our eBay business...Desert Sun Collectibles. Enjoy!

Simple Book Keeping How To

This is a tool that Gary Hendrickson (AKA-The Auction Rebel) gave us to keep track of our eBay buying and selling expenses when we were doing the eBay Challenge. Once you start working with it, you'll see how easy it really is. Thanks Gary (AKA-The Auction Rebel) your memory and help still live on.
How To Insert A Table In Your Post
You can insert a table similar to the one below into a post if you would like to use one to organize the information about your weekly progress.
Ended eBay Sold Amazon Sold Cost List Fees FV Fees PayPal Fees Incid. Fees Miles Net Profit Total
5/11 $183.47 $59.99 $35.35 $6.30 $18.04 $8.65 $0.00 $24.75 $150.37 $150.37
You can do this in one of two ways.
You can copy and paste the following HTML into your post wherever you want the table to appear in your post. NOTE: You MUST use the HTML tab of the text editor when writing a post with a table in it. The VISUAL tab will not work.
<table border=”1″ cellspacing=”1″ cellpadding=”5″ width=”600″>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>Ended</span></strong></td>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>eBay Sold</span></strong></td>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>Amazon Sold</span></strong></td>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>Cost</span></strong></td>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>List Fees</span></strong></td>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>FV Fees</span></strong></td>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>PayPal Fees</span></strong></td>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>Incid. Fees</span></strong></td>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>Miles</span></strong></td>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>Net Profit</span></strong></td>
<td align=”center”><strong><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>Total </span></strong></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
</tr>
</tbody>
<//table>
Then just enter the appropriate date or dollar value where XXXX appears in the following example in the appropriate lines:
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”>XXXX</span></td>
For each additional week or update you will need to cut and paste the following HTML “BETWEEN” the LAST </tr> tag and </tbody> tag of your previous post.
<tr>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
<td align=”center”><span style=”font-size:xx-small;font-family:Arial;”></span></td>
</tr>
Alternatively, if you have a HTML editor installed on your computer and know how to use it, just cut and paste the above code into your editor, fill in the appropriate blanks, and then cut and paste the results into your post where you want the table to appear. Then, to add another week, just use the TABLE function of your editor to add another row to your table from the previous week.
IMPORTANT
The HTML provided above produces a table that is 600 pixels in width. If you wish to decrease the width, feel free to do so. However, DO NOT make it any wider or it will break the theme for the blog.
Your table should look like this when done correctly.
