Are you ready to ramp up your listings and sales for 2011? Need motivation to get going? Then why not join us in a twist on "The Garage Sale Challenge" started by the late "Auction Rebel", Gary Hendrickson. The garage sale challenge ran from the first weekend in May until September. It consisted of items found at garage and yard sales, thrift stores and auctions and listed auction style on eBay weekly and results posted weekly after auction end.
Setting A Goal
Think about what you want to achieve during the challenge. Set an amount for your sales, then set a goal for number of items listed.
The "twist" on this challenge is that it's during the winter months, December 1st, 2010 - March 27th, 2011. Items listed can be what you already have and new items you find at thrift stores and auctions. The goal is to list, list, list. There is no win or lose here, it's simply a challenge to show what you can do to ramp up your listings and sales. BIN items must sell by March 27th to qualify for totals. There is a chart you can use to help you keep track of your weekly totals. You can find the chart and instructions on how to post it under "Pages" Simple Book Keeping How To. You will need to post your results weekly, usually on Monday. Weeks will run Sunday -Sunday. If there is enough interest, we will do a regular Garage Sale Challenge starting in May that will have different criteria for the challenge.
To participate you will need to become a member of this site (Home Page/Followers/Sign In) and sign up, then post in the comments with your name and link to your eBay store or user id if you don't have a store. email me with any questions and have fun! :)
